Position: SUPERVISOR, AMBULANCE SERVICES
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Accountable for the complete operation of Ambulance Services and ensure the proper level of patient care.
- Collaborates with the Manager, ensures appropriate policies, protocols and operational performance are in place to deliver a safe and high quality patient care.
- Ensures that equipment is properly maintained and operated and that the safe work practices are followed. Ensures that all required supplies and materials are present.
- Accountable for the safety and well‑being of staff members within the area of responsibility, ensuring risks related to staff, vehicles, and equipment are properly identified and appropriate action is taken.
- Prepares call volume reports, requests for proposals, and projects under the direction of the manager.
- Assesses emergency situations to determine the best course of action and appropriate protocol.
- Responsible for the enforcement of all Personnel policies, and the handling of disciplinary problems as required.
- Participates in self and others’ education, training and development, as applicable.
- Follows all hospital‑related policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Medical Services or other related discipline is required.
Experience Required
- Grade 10:
Four (4) years of related experience with a Master’s or six (6) years with a Bachelor’s Degree is required. - Grade 11:
Four (4) years as Supervisor, Ambulance Services at KFSH&RC, or related experience in Emergency Health, or related majors (Grade 11) is required. - Average of annual performance appraisal at least (3.5) for the last four (4) years.
- One hundred (100) hours of cumulative continued medical education (CME).
Other Requirements (Certificates)
- Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.
- The following qualifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and PHTLS are required.
- Bilingual skills (Arabic and English) and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
