Job Title: General Maintenance Technician
Al Manar Grand Hotel Apartment is a hotel apartment located in Al Mankool, dedicated to providing outstanding guest experiences. We take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our guests and staff. We are currently seeking a dedicated General Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure our hotel stays in top condition.
Job Summary:
The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure the hotel’s facilities and equipment are in optimal condition. This role requires a proactive individual who can troubleshoot and fix issues efficiently while providing excellent service to guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Inspect and maintain all the hotel equipment.
Address guest maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
Conduct regular inspections of the property and complete preventative maintenance tasks.
Repair drywall, painting, carpentry, and minor plumbing or electrical issues.
Assist in maintaining the hotel’s pool, if applicable, ensuring the pump, dozing machines works as intended.
Monitor and maintain the hotel’s lighting, including replacing bulbs and fixtures as needed.
Keep maintenance areas and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.
Respond to emergency maintenance issues, such as leaks, power failures, or HVAC malfunctions.
Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations, including fire safety.
Co-ordinate with our third party AMC service providers, maintain proper log book and such to monitor their work and efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related field (hotel or hospitality experience preferred).
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various conditions.
Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and on-call shifts if needed only.
