Job Summary:
Scapeworx is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with experience in construction accounting to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate must hold a valid Emirates Driving License and be proficient in using accounting software such as QuickBooks. Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and manage the financial records of ongoing construction projects.
Submit comprehensive weekly financial status reports for all projects.
Monitor, review, and log daily labour sheets and track labour attendance.
Accurately record and calculate labour overtime and ensure compliance with company policies.
Process accounts payable and receivable in a timely manner.
Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow for various projects.
Collaborate with project managers to forecast budgets and manage expenses.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Support internal and external audits as required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Valid Emirates Driving License is mandatory.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Construction accounting.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
Strong understanding of financial regulations in the UAE construction industry.
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Knowledge of UAE labour laws and construction project management.
Prior experience working with multinational construction firms.
