Overview: Kinetics Group is seeking a Structural Engineer to support the design and analysis of steel structures for acoustic louvers, acoustic barriers, enclosures, and related noise control solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in structural steel design, wind load analysis, and engineering calculations, with the ability to deliver safe, practical, and code-compliant solutions for fabrication and installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural design and analysis of steel support systems, frames, columns, and connections for acoustic and noise control projects.
- Prepare wind load calculations, structural calculations, and anchorage designs in accordance with ASCE 7 and applicable design standards.
- Review project specifications, engineering drawings, and design requirements to develop practical and cost-effective structural solutions.
- Prepare structural calculation reports, design documentation, and technical submissions for consultant and client approvals.
- Coordinate with engineering, estimation, production, procurement, and project teams to ensure accurate and feasible designs.
- Support site activities by reviewing structural conditions, resolving technical issues, and providing engineering guidance during installation.
- Maintain compliance with applicable engineering codes, quality standards, and industry best practices.
Skills & Attributes Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in structural steel design and analysis.
- Experience performing structural analysis and wind load calculations for steel structures.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of structural steel design, anchorage systems, and applicable engineering design standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and interpreting structural and engineering drawings.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical report writing skills.
