Job Description:
We are seeking a Structural Design Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in reinforced concrete (RCC) and steel structure design to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and reviewing structural systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform structural analysis and design for RCC and steel structures, ensuring safety, stability, and cost-effectiveness.
Prepare structural calculations, reports, and detailed design drawings using industry-standard software.
Ensure designs comply with UAE building codes, international standards (such as ACI, BS, Eurocodes, and UBC), and client specifications.
Conduct structural modeling and simulations using software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, and Robot Structural Analysis.
Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and project managers to integrate structural designs with overall project requirements.
Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements for structural works.
Conduct site inspections and structural assessments to ensure compliance with design specifications.
Provide technical support to construction teams, clients, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Keep up-to-date with advancements in structural engineering technologies and best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).
Minimum 5 years of experience in structural design, specifically in RCC and steel structures.
Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, Robot Structural Analysis, and AutoCAD.
Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, ACI, BS, Eurocodes, and UBC.
Experience with high-rise buildings, industrial structures, or infrastructure projects is a plus.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or SOE Membership is an advantage.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: AED7,000.00 – AED10,000.00 per month
