Storekeeper – Building Construction
We are looking for an experienced Storekeeper to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing construction materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting site operations by ensuring the timely availability of materials. Preference will be given to candidates currently available in the UAE who can join immediately.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Ensure proper storage of civil, MEP, and finishing materials to prevent damage, loss, or deterioration.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs, inventory management systems, or ERP systems.
- Issue materials to site teams based on approved material requisitions.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the procurement team for timely replenishment.
- Prepare and maintain Goods Received Notes (GRN), delivery notes, and material issuance records.
- Conduct regular stock counts, physical inventory, and stock reconciliation.
- Coordinate with procurement, site engineers, and suppliers regarding deliveries and material shortages.
- Ensure proper labeling, identification, and organization of all stored materials.
- Minimize material wastage, damage, and theft through effective store management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment in compliance with HSE standards.
- Handle hazardous or sensitive materials according to company safety procedures.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and stock reports.
- Assist in material planning and forecasting based on project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and site procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience as a Storekeeper in a building construction or contracting company.
- Strong knowledge of civil, MEP, and finishing construction materials.
- Good understanding of inventory control, warehouse operations, and material storage practices.
- Familiarity with UAE construction site procedures and HSE requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Knowledge of ERP systems is preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
- Candidates currently based in the UAE with immediate or short notice availability are preferred.
