Job Title: Storekeeper

Position Overview: The Storekeeper will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring the proper storage and organization of materials, and assisting with inventory audits in a scaffolding company. The role involves receiving and recording shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring that items are stored securely and efficiently to support the company’s operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and Recording Shipments:
Receive and inspect all incoming scaffolding materials and equipment.
Record and log inventory items into the system, ensuring all relevant details are accurate (e.g., quantity, condition, and type of materials).
Verify the contents of shipments against purchase orders or delivery documentation.
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory, including materials, tools, and scaffolding equipment.
Organize items in the storage areas for easy access and efficient use, ensuring items are clearly labeled and properly stored to prevent damage or loss.
Ensure that stock levels are maintained and report shortages or overages to management.
Inventory Audits:
Assist in conducting regular inventory audits to verify stock levels and identify discrepancies.
Track inventory movement and usage patterns to prevent theft, loss, or misplacement of items.
Work with the team to resolve inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Storage Area Maintenance:
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store’s storage areas, ensuring that they are safe, well-organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
Arrange items in a systematic and accessible manner, following safety standards and operational requirements.
Inventory Control and Reporting:
Monitor and report any discrepancies or issues related to inventory control.
Assist in preparing reports related to inventory levels, shipments, and usage for management review.

Skills and Qualifications:

Previous experience in inventory management or storekeeping, preferably in the construction or scaffolding industry.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer applications.
Ability to handle physical tasks and lift heavy items when necessary.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with team members and management.
Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in storing scaffolding materials is a plus.

Working Conditions:

Full-time position with regular working hours.
May require working in outdoor or warehouse environments and occasionally lifting heavy scaffolding materials.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,500.00 – AED1,800.00 per month
