Job Title:

Inventory Controller

Job Summary:

The Inventory Controller is responsible for managing the company’s inventory of tiles, sanitary ware, and related products. This involves overseeing inventory levels, ensuring that the right products are available at the right time, and minimizing stockouts and overstock situations.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

Establish, maintain and monitor stock levels for tiles, sanitary ware, and related products, ensuring adequate inventory to meet demand without overstocking.

Analyze the inventory records to understand the movements of the inventory.

Submission of periodical reports and recommendations on inventory status and inventory movement to enable the management to take the decision on reducing excess inventory, optimizing stock levels, improving stock turnover, etc.

Perform regular stock audits and ensure that inventory records are accurate and up to date.

Stock Ordering & Replenishment:

Analyze the product reorder request from the Sales Department based on sales forecasts and inventory levels.

Set the Stock Reorder Level for each item of inventory and coordinate with the Sales department to Place orders for stock replenishment.

Warehouse Management:

Conduct periodic cycle counts and full stock audits to ensure inventory accuracy.

Demand Forecasting & Reporting:

Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to understand market trends, seasonal demands, and sales forecasts.

Analyze historical sales data to forecast future product demand and adjust ordering practices accordingly.

Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, sales trends, and any potential supply chain issues.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Cost Accounting, or related field.

Experience:

3-5 years of experience in Inventory Control or inventory management in a retail or trading company.

Experience in managing inventory for building materials, sanitary ware, or related products is an advantage.

Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage inventory movement and stock optimization.

Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office

Strong communication to work with internal teams.

Knowledge of ERP System and data analysis.

Personal Attributes:

Strong multitasker and able to handle time-sensitive situations.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Results-oriented and proactive in identifying and solving problems.

Working Conditions:
