Job Title: Accountant

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting system setup, invoicing, corporate tax, and financial statement management. They will be responsible for streamlining our accounting processes, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting System Setup & Maintenance
– Implement and maintain an efficient accounting system tailored to the company’s needs.
– Clean up old entries and migrate data into a new accounting system.
– Ensure seamless integration of accounting software with business operations.
– Establish accounting workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Invoicing & Taxes
– Oversee invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely issuance.
– Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
– Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and timely filing of VAT returns.
– Handle corporate tax filings and ensure compliance with UAE tax laws.
Financial Statements & Reconciliation
– Prepare and manage financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
– Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
– Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and rectify errors.
Reporting & Process Improvement
– Prepare and submit monthly financial reports and analysis.
– Create and maintain a quarterly closing binder for financial reviews.
– Identify areas for improvement in accounting processes and recommend solutions.
– Support management with financial insights to enhance decision-making.
Requirements:
– Minimum 3 years of UAE accounting experience.
– Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax regulations.
– Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar).
– Experience in financial reconciliation and cleaning old accounting entries.
– Ability to set up a streamlined accounting system for operational efficiency.
– Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
– Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or CMA) is a plus.
