Job Summary:
- Work Schedule: 5 days/week, 2 changeable days off
- Shifts: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts (every 4 days)
- Role: Acts as the primary contact for shift operations, oversees daily activities, staff, resources, and ensures operational goals and safety compliance.
🔹 Experience Required:
- 5+ years in stevedoring operations (vessel, yard, logistics)
- Cargo handling (loading, unloading, lashing, stowing)
- Complex logistics management
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations & hazard management
🔹 Knowledge Areas:
- Shipping, stevedoring, and marshalling processes
- Use of heavy machinery & specialized stevedoring equipment
- Handling of different cargo types (including hazardous materials)
- Health & safety legislation, incident investigation
- Customs & shipping documentation
🔹 Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication
- Problem-solving and adaptability
- Planning, organization, and strategic thinking
🔹 Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Terminal Operating Systems (TOS)
- Strong general computer and business software skills
🔹 Qualifications & Certifications:
- Certificates in Stevedoring Operations & Leadership
- Certifications in Dangerous Goods Handling, Hazard Management, and Emergency Response
