Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Foreman to supervise and coordinate steel fabrication activities within the workshop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing fabrication teams, ensuring production targets are achieved, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage daily fabrication activities in the workshop.
Allocate manpower, equipment, and resources efficiently to meet production schedules.
Interpret fabrication drawings, shop drawings, and project specifications.
Monitor fabrication, fit-up, assembly, cutting, drilling, and welding operations.
Ensure all fabrication works comply with approved drawings and quality standards.
Coordinate with Production Engineers, Planning Engineers, and QA/QC teams.
Monitor productivity and implement corrective actions to meet project deadlines.
Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure adherence to HSE requirements.
Verify material availability and coordinate with stores for required materials.
Inspect completed works before forwarding to QA/QC for final inspection.
Maintain daily production reports and workforce attendance records.
Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of workshop machinery and tools.
Train and guide fabricators, welders, fitters, and helpers to improve productivity.
Identify fabrication issues and provide practical solutions to minimize delays and rework.
Requirements:
Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication Technology, or related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Fabrication Foreman in structural steel fabrication.
Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication processes.
Ability to read and interpret fabrication/shop drawings.
Experience managing welders, fabricators, fitters, and helpers.
Knowledge of welding procedures, cutting methods, and fabrication standards.
Familiarity with workshop machinery and fabrication equipment.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
GCC/UAE experience preferred.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Experience in structural steel, PEB, industrial steel structures, and miscellaneous steel works.
Ability to manage multiple fabrication bays simultaneously.
Strong focus on safety, quality, and production efficiency.
Proven track record of meeting fabrication schedules and production targets.
Immediate joiners will be preferred.
