Steel fixer Jobs in Abu Dhabi at Probuild General Contracting L.L.C.
We are hiring a Steel Fixer to assemble and position steel bars, mesh, and reinforcement structures (rebar) to strengthen concrete frameworks on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Read bending schedules and structural drawings to determine rebar requirements.
- Cut, bend, layout, and tie steel bars or mesh using hand tools (pliers, tie wire).
- Fix rebar grids into position inside formwork prior to concrete pouring.
- Place spacers and chairs to ensure correct concrete coverage around reinforcement.
- Ensure all steel structures meet engineering specifications and site quality controls.
Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Steel Fixer on civil or commercial construction sites.
- Skills: Ability to read steel bending schedules; proficient in manual tying techniques.
- Physical Ability: Comfortable lifting heavy steel bars and working in varied outdoor environments.
