Job Summary
We’re looking for a hands-on Stainless Steel Foreman to lead fabrication and/or installation crews working with stainless steel structures, railings, cladding, and fittings. You’ll oversee daily shop or site activities, ensuring work meets specification, quality standards, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise stainless steel fabrication and/or erection crews in the shop and/or on site
- Interpret fabrication drawings, weld details, and specifications to guide crew work
- Oversee cutting, welding, grinding, polishing, and assembly of stainless steel components
- Ensure finished work meets dimensional tolerances and surface finish requirements
- Coordinate material flow — issuing raw stainless steel stock and tracking usage/wastage
- Allocate manpower and equipment across active fabrication/installation jobs
- Monitor welder performance and flag quality issues (porosity, distortion, poor finish) before parts move forward
- Liaise with the QC team during inspections and support closure of any raised NCRs
- Enforce workshop/site safety procedures, particularly around welding, grinding, and material handling
- Train and guide junior welders/fabricators on correct techniques and standards
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in stainless steel fabrication and/or installation, with at least 2–3 years in a foreman/supervisory role
- Strong practical knowledge of stainless steel welding (TIG/MIG), polishing, and finishing techniques
- Ability to read fabrication and installation drawings independently
- Experience managing fabrication or installation crews of 5–15+ workers
- Familiarity with relevant welding standards (AWS D1.6 or equivalent) is a plus
- Basic English communication; Arabic is a plus
