Staff Nurse (Philippine Registered Nurse)
The ideal candidate is responsible for the safe delivery of high-quality evidenced based patient care within the patient’s home. He/she is responsible for the coordination of patient care throughout the patient’s length of stay within the service.
Responsibilities
Assesses, identifies, and develops individualized and age-appropriate patient care plans based on the acuity level of the patient.
Provides skilled safe, holistic, and culturally competent, person-centered nursing care to patients, families, community, and society, incollaborationwith themultidisciplinaryteam.
Performs home risk assessments to identify potential risks and develop control measures to reduce or resolve the risk in coordination with the patient’s family andinterdisciplinaryteam members.
Evaluates the quality and appropriateness of care delivered to patients.
Accepts accountability for own actions and decision-making and for the related outcome.
Ensures that nursing care delivered meets the socio-cultural needs of patients, families, communities, and society.
Functions always in accordance with legislative, regulatory and policy guidelines relevant to registered nursing practice.
Maintains and demonstrates clinical competence in all aspects of care provided to patients at home.
Attends emergency / crisis situations calmly and effectively.
Administers medications and therapies in a safe, timely and effective manner in accordance with the required policies and procedures.
Performs medication reconciliation in the patient’s home, in coordination with the physician and clinical pharmacist.
Ensures physician’s orders for medication prescriptions and referrals are processed as required, including ordering and provision of medical equipment / medical consumables.
Usescommunication skillsto ensure that other members of the health care team, the patient and their family are and remain fully informed.
Assists Allied Health Professionals, as required, in rehabilitation activities during home visits.
Fosters a climate conducive to educational experiences for nurses and their peers.
Supports patients to maintain and optimize their health care through patienteducation. Integratesevidence-based practiceand research findings into practice.
Exhibitsleadershipqualities and manages nursing care safely, efficiently, and ethically.
Ensures nursing practice meets organizational quality and safety standards and guidelines and participates in continuous quality improvement.
Maintains and promotescustomer satisfactionthrough effective customer service.
Delegates and provides supervision to team members according to their competence and scope of practice.
Demonstrates commitment to the development of other members in the healthcare team.
Assumes responsibility for ownprofessional developmentthrough lifelong learning. Maintains a professional portfolio that includes evidence of continued competence and performance improvement.
Performs other duties as requested.
Job Requirements
Must be a Registered Professional Nurse with current licensure.
2 years of experience in a relevant nursing field after successful completion of Bachelor of Science in Nursing and registration of PRC license.
Must be comfortable with home care set-up.
Successful candidates will be deployed to work in Doha, Qatar.
