Réalis is looking for an experienced highly motivated, detail‑oriented, self‑starter for the Position of Senior Wet Utilities Engineer in Qatar. The role will carry out a mix of functions that span from internal process improvements to supporting project delivery, including the creation of designs for various wet utilities projects. The candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers, providing a professional design service to clients/Lead Project Offices (LPOs).
The candidate will actively support project teams on proposal and project delivery tasks.
Your role
- Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings related to wet utilities.
- Performs pump system engineering calculations.
- Performs hydraulic modelling analysis for pressure and gravity networks.
- Contributes to technical report writing and data/analysis summary tables and exhibits.
- Develops design reports/specifications for a variety of projects.
- Works with minimal supervision.
- Participates in multi‑discipline coordination with LPOs and clients.
- Works in various collaborative platforms such as Project Wise, BIM 360, MS Teams, SharePoint etc.
- Performs utility clash analysis and clash resolution exercises.
- Performs quality control checks of design calculations or drawings.
- Presents design solutions in meetings with clients/LPOs as required.
- Applies Atkins
Réalis QSE standards and BMS.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s) from a reputable institute. UPDA Grade A registration is mandatory.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in wet utilities design—storm water, wastewater, potable water, and TSE—for the UK, Middle East and other regions.
- Proficiency in software such as Micro Drainage, Civil Storm, Sewergems/Water Gems etc.
- Working knowledge of BIM platforms:
Civil3D, Micro Station, Open Roads/InRoads/MX Road, Revit, Navisworks. - Experience with international standards and Middle East standards.
- Experience leading and delivering major infrastructure projects at master plan, concept and detailed design stages.
- Consultancy experience is preferred.
