Primary
Purpose
Of The Job
Focal point for the tax affairs, such as international tax planning, consulting and compliance, of Qatar Energy Group (‘’Group’’) in relation to a geographical region, a number of jurisdictions, a number of entities, a sub-industry, a type of activity or any other tax focus area (‘’relevant focal point area’’).
Monitor legislative developments relating to the relevant focal point area to ensure Group tax compliance and raise pertinent matters to Management.
Report directly to FPT.
Required Experience And Skills
At least 15 years of international tax experience in a Big Four firm (Deloitte, EY, KPMG or PwC) and/or in industry.
Educational Qualifications
Technical tax expertise with an emphasis in the international area, including transfer pricing, OECD BEPS, international structuring and M&A.
Extensive experience relating to upstream oil and gas activities is considered an asset.
Extensive experience relating to LNG marketing activities is considered an asset.
Fluent in English; ability to speak other languages is considered an asset.
Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to operate in a multi-task environment.
Ability to work independently and collaborate in a cross-functional working environment.
Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to make effective presentations.
Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
