Position: SR. SYSTEMS ANALYST

Primary Purpose of the Job

Serve as the Business and Systems focal point within the VP Directorate, with primary responsibility for SAP, analytics, and integrated digital platforms. This role translates business priorities into scalable SAP-enabled solutions, supports the delivery of transformation initiatives, and drives continuous process improvement in alignment with VP governance frameworks, portfolio management standards, and capital project delivery.

The position also enables effective adoption of SAP S/4

HANA functionalities by end-users and leadership, ensures seamless integration with upstream and downstream enterprise systems, and collaborates closely with ICT and programme stakeholders to achieve and sustain transformation benefits across the VP organization.

Required Experience and Skills

Minimum 8 years’ experience in business systems analysis, preferably within capital projects, portfolio management, or engineering environments.

SAP S/4

HANA Transformation & System Ownership

  • Act as VP SAP S/4

    HANA Business focal point for Project Systems (PS), supporting blueprint validation, fit-to-standard alignment, and controlled scope extensions where required.

  • Support SAP S/4

    HANA deployment activities including configuration validation, data migration readiness, cutover support, hypercare, and stabilisation phases.

  • Ensure effective integration between SAP PS and related modules and platforms (Finance, Procurement, Asset Management, analytics, document management).
  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and business readiness activities across VP.

    • Business Process & Portfolio Enablement

  • Conduct end-to-end business process analysis across portfolio, programme, and project life cycles to identify gaps between current practices and SAP S/4

    HANA standard capabilities.

  • Define and maintain business requirements, functional specifications, and process models aligned with SAP Activate and Qatar Energy governance standards.
  • Support portfolio and project performance management through SAP-enabled schedule, cost, progress, and earned value tracking.
  • Drive process standardisation, optimisation, and automation initiatives leveraging SAP S/4

    HANA, and Power Platform solutions where applicable.

    • Data, Analytics & Reporting

  • Support data governance, data quality, and master data alignment relevant to PS objects (WBS, networks, activities, milestones, cost objects).
  • Enable SAP-based analytics and reporting using SAP embedded analytics, and enterprise tools such as Power BI.
  • Analyse portfolio and project performance data to support management reporting, decision-making, and continuous improvement initiatives.

    • Stakeholder & ICT Coordination

  • Act as key interface between VP business stakeholders, ICT, system integrators, and SAP programme teams.
  • Support preparation of business cases, change requests, and management briefs related to SAP enhancements and digital initiatives.
  • Facilitate resolution of cross-functional issues impacting systems, data, or business processes across VP directorates.

    • Educational Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
    • Demonstrated experience supporting ERP implementations or transformations, preferably SAP S/4

      HANA.

    • Hands‑on exposure to SAP Project Systems (PS) and/or SAP EPPM is highly desirable.
