Job Scope:
The Senior Risk Management Officer is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), responsible for supporting and executing components of SPARK’s ERM framework. This includes managing the ERM process, maintaining risk registers, and aggregating risk data for reporting.
The officer will collaborate with risk champions and owners across the organization to facilitate ERM updates and work with the Director and VP of Strategy & Business Development to prepare ERM reports and dashboards. The Senior Risk Management Officer ensures the effective implementation and maintenance of the ERM framework, aligning it with strategic goals. The position also involves fostering a risk-aware culture and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements across departments. Additionally, the role may include additional responsibilities to support the organization’s overall risk management goals.
Principal Duties:
Collaborate with Executives and Key Stakeholders: Facilitate risk identification, monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and develop risk mitigation plans in partnership with executives, C-suite leaders, and other key stakeholders.
Risk Identification and Mitigation: Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization’s approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
ERM Reporting & Dashboards: Design and update ERM dashboards, heat maps, and other tools with KRIs and relevant data to support presentations to management and the Board Audit Committee (BAC).
Corporate Risk Register Management: Own and manage the Corporate Risk Register, ensuring key corporate risks, associated management responses, and residual risks are tracked and reported.
Quarterly ERM Updates: Organize and execute quarterly ERM update meetings, documenting outcomes and preparing management updates.
Additional Duties: Perform other job-related activities as requested by management to support the broader objectives of the risk function.
Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or related field is required.
Experience: A minimum of 3-6 years of relevant experience in risk management field.
Certifications: ERMCP, CRM, CRMP, FRM or similar certifications are preferred.
Language Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
