Position: Sr. QC Inspector – Mech. / Piping – Walkin Chennai
Responsibilities
Execute comprehensive mechanical and piping quality control inspections for critical project components ensuring adherence to design specifications and international codes e g ASME API Review and approve fabrication drawings, welding procedures and material test reports MTRs to guarantee compliance before and during manufacturing.
Conduct visual, dimensional, and non-destructive testing NDT on piping systems, vessels, and rotating equipment meticulously documenting all findings.
Oversee and witness hydrostatic, pneumatic, and functional testing of equipment and piping verifying system integrity and performance against project requirements.
Qualifications
Possession of a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience as a QC Inspector specifically in Mechanical and Piping disciplines within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
Valid certifications such as CSWIP 1, ASNT Level II (VT, RT, UT, MT, PT), and API 510/570 are highly advantageous.
Proven expertise in interpreting P&IDs, isometric drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications.
Eligibility Criteria
- Experience in Pipeline / Oil & Gas / EPC / Flowline / Wellhead / Brownfield / Upstream / Onshore
- Gulf / ADNOC experience preferred
- Clean-shaven policy applicable
- Candidates with Metro / Building / Road Infrastructure experience are not eligible
- Age Criteria:
Maximum age limit is 49 years (managerial positions may be extended up to 50 years if candidate has significant Gulf experience) - For managerial and SR. Positions: A minimum of 5 years of Gulf experience in the relevant field is mandatory
