The
Quality Assurance
and Control (QA/QC) Senior Engineer will be the key contact for all quality-related matters of the project, working closely with the Project Manager, client quality counterparts, and Corporate QAQC Representative in EEIC.They are responsible for ensuring the implementation of
quality assurance
and control procedures for the project assigned, supervising a team of QC Inspectors and subcontractors’ QC Inspectors, and establishing quality management systems as per ADNOC standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing, implementing, and maintaining the Project Quality Management System to ensure effective implementation and maintenance in accordance with the approved Project Quality Plan.
Creating quality systems,
quality control
procedures/plans, work procedures, inspection, and test plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Providing guidance and training to implement project QMS requirements, ensuring that project quality policies and objectives/KPIs are clearly understood and implemented.
Reviewing and revising the project quality plan regularly to ensure its adequacy and effectiveness.
Verifying the distribution of quality documents for effective implementation and monitoring their use throughout the project lifecycle.
Scheduling internal and subcontractor audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems and procedures.
Leading project quality auditing, investigating nonconformances, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence in the project.
Overseeing all QA/QC functions and activities performed during engineering, procurement, construction, installation, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and final acceptance by the end user.
Preparing, implementing, monitoring, revising, and updating project quality plans,
quality control
procedures, ITPs, etc., to ensure
continuous improvement
.
Monitoring and reporting weekly and monthly KPIs to enable timely corrective action and ensure quality objectives are met.
Managing a team of QA/QC Engineers, QC inspectors (welding, painting/coating, civil, E&I), and overseeing day-to-day QA/QC functions in the project.
Attending kick-off meetings to provide QA/QC input, determining inspection levels, and validating QC requirements.
Reviewing and approving product/material requisitions, vendor documents, including ITPs, NDE procedures and reports, manufacturing record books.
Supporting 3rd-party inspection coordination and reviewing inspection reports and release notes.
Approving subcontractor’s and commissioning ITPs, construction and commissioning workpacks prior to site issue.
Reviewing project technical queries, standard deviation requests, and verifying completeness of vendor and project documentation.
Closing quality requirements for project closeout and ensuring satisfactory reporting, tracking, and closure of project NCRs and preventive actions.
Providing quality input to project lessons learned and risk management sessions and developing contract quality programs in accordance with Contract and/or Projects Execution Plan arrangements.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications
A minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) with a minimum of 10 years of experience and 5 years in a senior QAQC Engineer role in a corporate or contracting environment in construction, preferably oil & gas, power, and utility sectors.
