Sr. Product Engineer I Jobs in Dubai at Taqeef
Role Purpose:
· Lead product engineering activities for RAC and VRF product lines, including product development support, technical validation, regulatory compliance, product documentation, training material, competitive analysis, submittal reviews (ass applicable) and lifecycle improvements.
· Provide technical guidance to internal and external customers, product training and issue resolution.
Drive continuous improvement of product compliance, technical processes, engineering data, and product knowledge systems across the business, while mentoring junior engineers and supporting cross-functional decision-making.
Key Accountabilities:
· Lead technical support for DX & VRF products across sales, engineering, service, projects, and customer-facing teams, resolving complex product, application, and compliance queries.
· Own and continuously develop technical knowledge of the DX & VRF product portfolio, including design principles, performance characteristics, applications, limitations, standards, and competitive positioning.
· Ensure product compliance with business, regulatory, market, and customer requirements across relevant territories, including coordination with authorities, certification bodies, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
· Lead product benchmarking, value analysis, and technical comparison activities to identify product strengths, gaps, cost improvement opportunities, and differentiation against competitors.
· Maintain company’s product catalogues, presentations, technical manuals, and test reports.
· Conduct catalogues technical reviews to ensure data integrity related to product performance, quality standards, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
· Update and maintain Taqeef technical resources to support the Sales team with the required technical documentation.
· Keep up to date with regulatory requirements, associated standards, industry developments, and product releases to support benchmarking of products.
· Attend meetings with Consultants, Contractors, and Key Customers to discuss material submittals, product specs, and potential projects.
· Work closely with the engineering team to ensure selection, quotations, compliance statements and submittals are in line with project requirements and dynamics.
· Provide product training to internal and external customers and ensure strong technical product knowledge across Taqeef.
· Liaise with leading manufacturers to ensure the accuracy of product catalogues, technical manuals, test reports, and standards and respond to other related technical requirements.
· Prepare regular technical reports and analysis as required.
· Lead communications with factories, suppliers, and design centers on product development, engineering changes, technical deviations, testing requirements, and product improvement initiatives.
· Responsible for updating and maintaining product selection tools.
· Ensure the continuous provision of information on the regulatory requirements for Taqeef products to manufacturers.
Qualifications:
· Degree in Engineering.
· 3-5 years of experience in HVAC industry, with specific focus on VRF and DX systems.
· Strong technical knowledge of DX systems, product and model diversity compared to competitor brands within the UAE market.
· Knowledge of the applicable test standards to HVAC products such as AHRI, European Norm, ISO, IEC.
· Knowledge and understanding of the Regulatory requirements (e.g. ESMA, ADQCC, Eurovent, AHRI, SSMO and COSQC certifications) for DX products.
· English – Full professional proficiency.
· Analytical and critical thinking skills.
· Excellent communication, stakeholder management, influencing, mentoring, and technical presentation skills, with the ability to guide junior engineers and align cross-functional teams.
· Proficient MS Office Skills.
Technical Competencies:
· Data Collection: Ability to observe, monitor, collect, and record data. Ability to assess the accuracy, validity and integrity of the data.
· Data Analysis: Ability to interpret and evaluate results and create reports and/or presentations.
Knowledge – Technical: Possession of a designated level of technical skill or knowledge in a specific technical area(s) and the ability to keep up with current developments and trends in areas of expertise.
