Position: SR. PLANNING ENGINEER
Primary Purpose of the Job
Perform comprehensive project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, verification, and reporting activities necessary to ensure the successful execution of assigned projects from initiation to close-out.
Required Experience and Skills
Minimum 15 years of experience in project planning within the Oil & Gas industry, including large capital or portfolio projects such as gas processing plants, refineries, and onshore pipelines.
Preferably at least 5 years of experience with National Oil Companies and/or International Oil Companies.
Experience across the EPC project lifecycle, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Experience in pre-commissioning and commissioning planning, including system-wise handover strategies.
Experience in developing and managing shutdown schedules covering all phases: pre-shutdown, shutdown execution, and post-shutdown activities.
Expertise in project planning, scheduling, phasing, control, monitoring, forecasting, trending, risk assessment, claims analysis, and progress verification.
High proficiency with MS Office and relevant project control software, including Primavera; skills in Primavera Risk Analysis and Power BI are advantageous.
Work experience in the GCC region is desirable.
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Educational Qualifications
B. Sc. or equivalent in an Engineering discipline. Certified PMP or similar certifications/memberships are preferred.
