Our client is a renowned hospital currently looking for a Consultant Non Invasive Cardiologist for the Saudi Arabia location.

In this role you will be responsible for:

Providing specialized services to patients for the diagnosis and management of diseases of the heart and blood vessels.

Working as a Cardiologist (non-invasive) with responsibilities divided between the outpatient cardiology clinics cardiovascular unit and inpatient services.

Performing all basic aspects of general cardiology, including the management of patients with unstable angina, acute coronary syndromes, congestive heart failure, valvular disease, and basic arrhythmia problems.

Interpreting EKGs, transthoracic echo Doppler studies, Holter monitors, and stress tests (both exercise and pharmacological).

Requesting privileges to perform specialized echo Doppler procedures including transesophageal echocardiography, stress echocardiography, and contract echo.

Performing/interpreting transesophageal studies and stress echoes while providing expert guidance to junior staff involved with stress testing patients.

Working under the professional supervision of the Head of Cardiology Services Division and participating in all clinical activities of the division, including educational, quality assurance, and peer review activities.

Having daily contact with patients, their families, nurses, cardiovascular technologists, catheterization laboratory staff, and other members of the Cardiology Services Division.

Providing outpatient evaluation of patients with cardiovascular diseases, accounting for approximately 30% to 40% of time.

Caring for inpatients in the Coronary Care Unit and Telemetry Unit, accounting for approximately 25% of time.

Performing cardiac procedures including non-invasive procedures such as supervising or interpreting both exercise and pharmacological stress tests, EKG interpretation, Holter monitor interpretation, and routine transthoracic echo Doppler studies.

Providing consultation services for inpatients in the area of expertise, accounting for about 5%-10% of clinical duties.

Sharing in the on-call duty of the Cardiology Services Division, being on call roughly one in seven, and responding to requests for assistance from the emergency rooms.

Participating in the monthly staff meeting of the Cardiology Services Division and attending any mandatory meetings, particularly the Cardiac Catheterization Conference.
