Sr. Logistics officer Jobs in Jebel Ali at Nasco Automotive FZE
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end inbound and outbound logistics for sea, air and on-land shipments.
- Source and negotiate competitive freight and carrier rates; secure best-cost, service-fit contracts and spot quotes.
- Select and manage relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, customs clearance and transport providers; monitor service levels and SLAs.
- Plan and optimize shipment consolidation, routing, and scheduling to minimize transit time and cost.
- Track and follow up on freight status; proactively resolve delays, discrepancies, demurrage, detention, and claims.
- Prepare, review and control all commercial and transport documentation: bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, insurance certificates and other required paperwork.
- Ensure full compliance with UAE/Dubai customs regulations, import/export controls, free zone rules.
- Coordinate customs clearance and port/terminal operations inside Jabal Ali free Zone.
- Maintain accurate shipment records, update the system and reports.
- Manage disputes, freight claims and vendor performance remediation.
