Position: SR. LAB TECHNICIAN
Primary Purpose Of The Job
Supervises subordinates for collection of QA/QC samples and carries out physical & chemical tests on chemicals and hydrocarbons for export certifications. Carries out a variety of day-to-day duties including the preparation of detailed analytical reports. Responsible for highly sophisticated instruments calibration and minor routine maintenance of lab equipment including GCs, Sulphur analyser, Ion Chromatograph, etc. Responsible for Mesaieed operations Laboratory ISO 17025 calibration and PT analysis as and when required.
Required Experience And Skills
Minimum of 6 years laboratory analysis experience in hydrocarbon testing laboratory with 5-year experience in QA/QC activities including ISO 17025 activities. Attended ISO 17025 courses and having valid certificates from reputed accreditation agencies.
Educational Qualifications
Completion of Secondary (12 years) education followed by 2 years full time formal training in chemistry.
B.Sc. degree has an advantage to laboratory function. Minimum 5 Years QA/QC experience in ISO 17025 Testing protocols and documentation. Good knowledge of ASTM-IP, SMS and UOP test methods. Good communication and writing skills in English.
