Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for executing medium to high complex service jobs & projects with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines. Deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers, proactivecommunicationwith both customer and ABB sales teams to ensure customer needs are understood and business opportunities utilized for penetration and expansion. The work model for this role is onsite.

This role is contributing to Process Automation Business Area based in Doha, Qatar. You will mainly be accountable for:

Applying safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities.

Reporting unsafe practices and incidents.

Leading HSE activities at site.

Contributing tocustomer satisfactionby planning and executing service work according to customer order and expectation.

Clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in the direct area of responsibility.

Ensuringcustomer retentionby delivering superior customer experiences and effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations.

Working with customers to identify opportunities in the installed base to improve system performance and operational performance improvements.

While on-site, working with the customer to identify opportunities for improving the customer’s operations and eliminating pain points.

Planning and preparing site work for larger project team and managing related subcontractors at site.

Performing complex field service tasks, identifying technical problems, and making analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform.

Coaching technicians and engineers and supervising complex site activities.

Supporting the certification process of associate field service engineers and field service engineers.

Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.

Preparing all documents and customer reports to be signed by the customer representative.

Reporting work done in a timely manner and following up when needed.

Acting as a technical consultant in own specific area of expertise.

Proactively planning and executing work with a first-time right approach with customers, ensuring the job is done on time and with quality.

Identifying improvement needs and potential solutions in the way of working and the products in question and driving improvement actions in own area of responsibility.

Qualifications for the role

Graduate Engineer in Electrical / Equivalent Engineering.

Minimum 8 years of experience, with at least 5 years as customer support / project / service engineer of System 800xA based safety systems, preferably in Oil & Gas / Power & Water industry.

Goodhands-on experiencein System 800xA based integrated control and safety system (both hardware and software) with AC800MH
I library-based application development – project & commissioning.
