Sr. Estimation Engineer – Transmission Projects Jobs in Dubai, UAE/Dubai at Confidential Company
Responsibilities
Handle complete estimation and tendering activities for 132kV underground cable and EHV transmission projects across UAE. Review tender documents, IFC drawings, BOQs, route profiles, specifications, and authority requirements before submission. Prepare detailed cost estimation for cable laying works including trenching, ducting, HDD, cable pulling, joint bays, link boxes, cable accessories, and associated civil works. Perform quantity take-off from cable layouts, SLDs, route profiles, and technical drawings.
Analyze cable routing, utility crossings, traffic diversion requirements, installation methodology, and site execution constraints. Prepare detailed rate analysis for manpower, machinery, materials, subcontract works, and cable installation activities. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, and operations teams for technical inputs and tender compliance requirements. Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations through detailed technical and commercial comparison. Ensure compliance with DEWA, TRANSCO, FEWA, SEWA, and other UAE transmission authority standards and specifications.
Prepare technical proposals, tender clarifications, exclusions, assumptions, commercial bid documents, and value engineering proposals. Maintain updated cost database benchmark pricing, productivity analysis, tender records, and support management during technical and commercial discussions.
Qualifications
Candidate should have strong UAE experience in 132kV underground cable and EHV transmission project estimation with good knowledge of authority standards and tendering procedures.
- Must be technically strong in cable laying works, HDD, substations interface works, quantity take-off, and commercial evaluation of large-scale transmission projects.
- Preferred candidate should be proactive, commercially aware, and capable of handling multiple high-value tenders independently with proper coordination across departments.
