Job Description
Lead the preparation of detailed electrical cost estimates for diverse projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to client specifications.
Conduct comprehensive analysis of project drawings and specifications to extract quantifiable data for estimation purposes.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop project scopes and budgets that align with overall project goals.
Identify and assess potential risks and cost-saving opportunities, providing recommendations to enhance project profitability.
Maintain and update a database of historical costs and performance metrics to inform future estimation processes.
Prepare and present detailed bid proposals, ensuring clarity and transparency for clients and stakeholders.
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather cost data and validate estimates against market trends.
Utilize advanced estimation software tools to streamline the estimation process and improve accuracy.
Review and analyze change orders, providing timely estimates for additional work as required.
Stay current with industry trends, materials, and techniques to enhance the quality of cost estimates.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in electrical estimation within the construction sector.
Strong analytical skills to dissect complex project specifications and produce reliable cost estimates.
Proficiency in project management software and tools, integrating estimation with project timelines and budgets.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, fostering relationships with stakeholders and subcontractors.
Excellent communication skills to articulate complex estimates clearly to clients and team members.
Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring precision in calculations and adherence to quality standards.
