POSITION SUMMARY:
The job holder is responsible for implementing and approving laboratory procedures, equipment, and processes to provide competent and reliablequality controlservices to plant operations, maintenance, and technical areas, in a safe and cost-efficient manner to ensure production quality as per TASNEE standards.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Laboratory Quality Improvement:Leading laboratory equipment reliability, product quality improvement tasks, investigating technical customer complaints, performing root cause analysis related to quality incidents, participating in quality meetings, evaluating RR/PT, planning performance, updating product specifications, and auditing reported results as required.
Strategy:Supporting the preparation of capital expenditure, operating expenditure budgets, KPIs, and departmental business plans based on laboratory objectives to ensure smooth laboratory operations. Assisting in controlling laboratory waste management.
Raw Material Evaluation:Introducing and approving new raw materials or suppliers through testing and evaluation, and controlling raw material quality by auditing the concerned department.
Test Methods:Maintaining updated standard test methods, reviewing and developing analytical methods, validating methods, and ensuring adherence to SOPs/work instructions during laboratory equipment operations.
Calibration:Preparing maintenance/calibration schedules for equipment, procuring required standards for calibration/validation, and evaluating equipment calibration.
Monitoring Equipment Performance:Performing statisticalquality controlanalysis of data and process control reports, preparing monitor samples, and validating them.
Sampling:Preparing and reviewing sampling schedules, contributing to product development, and optimizing sampling requirements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry.
Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience.
Adequate experience in the field of petrochemicals and chemical analysis.
