- The role is responsible for defining and leading Commercial Bank of Qatar’s enterprise-wide procurement, commercial strategy, and strategic partnership agenda.
- The role will position procurement and commercial capability as a core enterprise-wide strategic lever for the Bank, driving cost efficiency, innovation, resilience, and value creation across all business and functional areas.
- Operating at the intersection of business, technology, and external ecosystems, the role will shape and deliver a future‑fit, enterprise-wide commercial model for the Bank, leveraging supplier networks, partnerships, and market opportunities to enhance long‑term competitive advantage.

- Drive enterprise‑wide value creation beyond cost, including demand management and specification optimisation.
- Embed data‑driven procurement and digital enablement across the Bank.
Cost Management & Supply Chain Optimisation
- Lead enterprise‑wide cost optimisation and efficiency programmes aligned to Bank priorities.
- Develop a structured approach to total cost of ownership (TCO) and demand governance across the organisation.
- Enhance supply chain resilience, performance, and operational efficiency across critical suppliers.
Commercial Management (Policy and Execution)
- Define and implement enterprise‑wide commercial policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
- Elevate contracting excellence, negotiation capability, and commercial discipline across the Bank.
- Ensure alignment between commercial strategy and broader enterprise objectives.
Strategic Vendor & Supplier Ecosystem Management
- Establish a structured approach to enterprise‑wide strategic vendor engagement and segmentation.
- Build long‑term, value‑driven supplier relationships aligned to Bank priorities.
- Drive innovation, performance, and transparency across key suppliers and partners.
Third‑Party Risk Management
- Oversee the evolution of the Bank’s enterprise‑wide third‑party risk management framework.
- Ensure robust governance across vendor risk, partnering closely with Regulatory Compliance and Operational Risk / Resilience to enable effective enterprise‑wide oversight.
- Support alignment with regulatory expectations and internal risk frameworks.
Commercial Partnerships
- Define and lead the Bank’s enterprise‑wide commercial partnerships strategy.
- Identify, structure, and activate partnerships that support growth, capability enhancement, and market differentiation.
- Work closely with business leadership to originate and scale partnership opportunities over time.
Fin Tech and “Next Tech” Partnerships
- Lead enterprise‑level engagement with Fin Tech and emerging technology ecosystems, positioning the Bank at the forefront of innovation.
