Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the company’s accounting and financial operations using Zoho Books. We are a service-based company and require someone who can maintain accurate financial records, produce timely financial reports, ensure compliance with UAE regulations, and support management with financial insights. The Accountant will work alongside our existing Accounts Payable team member and oversee the overall accounting function.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the company’s accounting records and general ledger in Zoho Books.
- Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Perform monthly bank, credit card, and ledger reconciliations.
- Oversee accounts receivable, customer invoicing, collections, and revenue recognition.
- Review and monitor accounts payable transactions processed by the Accounts Payable team member.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Prepare and file UAE VAT and CT returns and ensure compliance with FTA regulations.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare financial forecasts.
- Assist with budgeting, financial planning, and business analysis.
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide all required financial documentation.
- Ensure proper internal controls and recommend improvements to accounting processes.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records within Zoho Books.
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve accounting workflows using Zoho Books features.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a service-based business.
- Hands-on experience using Zoho Books is required.
- Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle and financial reporting.
- Good knowledge of UAE VAT and CT regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Pay: AED4,000.00 – AED7,000.00 per month
