JOB DESCRIPTION : METAL SPARY PAINTER
preparing metal surfaces for painting by cleaning and sanding them, applying protective coatings like paint and primers using various tools such as brushes and spray guns, and mixing paints to the correct specifications. Key responsibilities include ensuring a high-quality finish, performing maintenance on tools and equipment, and strictly following safety protocols to protect themselves from hazardous materials and work at heights.
Key duties and responsibilities
· Surface preparation: Cleaning, sanding, and priming surfaces to remove rust, mill scale, and existing paint to ensure proper adhesion.
· Painting and coating: Applying paint, varnish, or other industrial coatings using methods like spraying, brushing, or rolling to achieve a durable and protective finish.
· Color matching: Mixing paints to meet specific color and finish requirements.
· Equipment maintenance: Cleaning, maintaining, and performing routine repairs on painting and coating equipment.
· Safety compliance: Adhering to all safety guidelines, wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE), and using appropriate ventilation when working with hazardous materials.
· Quality control: Inspecting finished work to ensure it meets quality standards and performing touch-ups as needed.
Required skills and qualifications
· Experience with metal painting and surface preparation.
· Knowledge of different types of paints, coatings, and their appropriate applications.
· Proficiency with painting tools and equipment, especially spray guns.
· Physical strength and dexterity to operate machinery and work in various conditions, including at heights.
· Attention to detail to ensure a high-quality finish.
· Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
Pay: AED1,500.00 – AED1,800.00 per month
