Position Overview:
A leading company in the Audio Visuals and Lighting sector, is seeking seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Audio-Visual Technician to join our team. As an Audio-Visual Technician, you will be responsible for the setup, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various audio-visual equipment. Your expertise and attention to detail will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless operation and the delivery of high-quality audio-visual experiences.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Transport, set up, and install audio-visual equipment, including projectors, speakers, monitors, and rack equipment, in accordance with industry standards and guidelines.
Conduct thorough tests on videos, audio, and signals to identify and resolve any technical issues or malfunctions promptly and effectively.
Perform cable installations in conduits and cable trays, adhering to best practices for routing and organization.
Skillfully terminate a wide range of connectors, including RJ45, XLR, BNC, etc., with precision and accuracy.
Maintain a safe work environment by strictly adhering to site-specific rules and regulations regarding health and safety.
Ensure that all tools are properly maintained and used in accordance with company standards, maximizing their functionality and lifespan.
Collaborate closely with colleagues and managers, providing regular updates on completed tasks and project status.
Conduct cleaning, maintenance, and repairs on audio-visual equipment to uphold optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in audio-visual systems are desirable.
Proven experience as an Audio-Visual Technician or in a similar role, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of audio-visual equipment and systems.
Proficiency in the setup, installation, and troubleshooting of audio-visual components, including projectors, speakers, and monitors.
Strong understanding of cable installation and termination, encompassing various connectors such as RJ45, XLR, BNC, etc.
Familiarity with audio-visual systems, signal flow, and industry-standard video/audio protocols.
Exceptional problem-solving skills, enabling efficient diagnosis and resolution of technical issues.
Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively within a team and across different levels of the organization.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently while maintaining a high level of productivity.
