Primary objective:
To provide continual and unwavering support to all aspects of school life. playing a key
role in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the whole school. Assume overall
responsibility for delivering a world-class sporting programme within the curriculum for
Misk Schools students and external partners, whilst also managing the operations of the
Olympic Sports Centre to ensure its efficient and effective use.
Areas of responsibility:
Assume overall responsibility for all sporting activities within the school for both
internal and external stakeholders and ability to coordinate whenever necessary.
Oversee the daily operations of the sports center, including scheduling, staffing,
and resource management.
Lead the team to ensure world-class sporting provision for Misk Schools.
Develop partnerships with sporting institutions across the Kingdom to promote
sports within Misk Schools and the wider community.
Identify and nurture sporting talent, working with stakeholders to establish
specialised pathways for students to maximise their potential.
Oversee the development, implementation, and review of sports.
Oversee upkeep, appearance and use of the sports facilities on the campus
include: the FIFA sports pitches; the Olympic and 25m pools; the diving pool; the
gymnasium; the junior sports facilities; the MUGA pitch.
Manage daily operations of the Olympic Sports Centre, ensuring facilities are
safe, clean, and well-maintained.
Collaborate with facilities, operations, and experience departments to coordinate
schedules and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Conduct regular risk assessments and oversee emergency procedures and staff
training.
Work closely with the facilities team to maintain swimming pools, gyms, courts,
and other sports infrastructure.
To work closely with Heads of Department within Sports and PE across the schools
to promote sports within Misk Schools.
Ensure equitable access to facilities for staff and students across Misk Schools.
Work with the Marketing and Communication team to promote sports
programmes and services, including special events, tournaments, and community
activities.
Monitor programme effectiveness and implement improvements as needed.
Lead on calendaring and communication of all sports events and fixtures,
ensuring clarity and coordination across the community.
Line manages Fitness Coaches.
Monitor student participation in sports activities, record attendance,
achievements, and other data in a shared system.
Conduct learning observations for staff and external providers, such as swimming
instructors.
Oversee sports budget lines and ensure efficient resource allocation.
Manage and maintain sports equipment to ensure it is safe, functional, and
aligned with programme needs.
Work with the Director of Experience to organise and promote events that foster
community engagement in sports and wellness.
Ensure gender segregation, health and safety, and safeguarding are prioritised in
all activities.
Ensure programs comply with local regulations.
Engage with stakeholders to support student involvement in sports and address
any concerns, ensuring seamless stakeholder engagement.
Ability to work as part of a group of schools, developing effective professional
relationships with peers.
