The Production Coordinator (Supervisor) for steel structure fabrication and installation is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing, assembly, and execution of steel structures, ensuring quality, efficiency, and timely delivery while maintaining safety and compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning & Execution:
Develop and implement production schedules to meet project deadlines.
Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams to ensure smooth workflow.
Supervise daily production activities, ensuring efficient fabrication, welding, and assembly.
Ensure proper allocation of workforce, machinery, and materials for seamless operations.
2. Quality Control & Compliance:
Ensure all fabricated steel structures meet design specifications and quality standards.
Conduct regular inspections to detect defects, welding issues, or non-conformities.
Implement quality control measures such as NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) and dimensional checks.
Maintain compliance with industry standards (AISC, AWS, BS, or local regulations).
3. Team Supervision & Coordination:
Lead and supervise fabricators, welders, and machine operators to maintain productivity.
Assign work tasks and monitor progress to ensure efficient production.
Provide technical guidance and resolve on-site issues related to fabrication or assembly.
Conduct training sessions to enhance team skills and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
4. Material & Equipment Management:
Ensure timely availability of raw materials (steel plates, beams, bolts, etc.) to avoid delays.
Oversee proper usage and maintenance of production equipment like CNC machines, welding machines, and cutting tools.
Optimize material usage to reduce waste and control costs.
5. Communication & Reporting:
Act as the link between the production team, project managers, and clients.
Provide daily/weekly progress reports on production status, challenges, and resolutions.
Coordinate with logistics to ensure timely delivery of fabricated components to the site.
6. Process Improvement & Problem-Solving:
Identify inefficiencies in fabrication or assembly processes and suggest improvements.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical and operational issues on the shop floor.
Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
7. Health & Safety Compliance:
Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols in line with OSHA, ISO, or local safety standards.
Conduct safety briefings and risk assessments before starting production activities.
Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all workers.
Report and mitigate hazards, accidents, or near-miss incidents immediately.
Key Skills Required:

Pay: AED6,000.00 – AED8,000.00 per month
