Role Purpose: To develop broker sales pipeline, participate in joint-sales, engage in meetings and maintain healthy relationships, and implement continuous improvement to increase broker loyalty and grow market shares through brokers in the region.
Key Activities:
ï‚· New Sales
o Assist in formulating broker distribution channel strategy.
o Develop broker sales pipeline in line with pre-set targets and strategy.
o Conduct market research and gap analysis and identify potential brokers in the region.
o Consolidate list of potential brokers in the region to hand over to Channel Management.
o Identify requirements of broker customers to be reflected in contract drafting.
o Provide information relating to contract drafting and KPIs setting based on broker requirements, sales targets and conducted research.
o Share product-specific knowledge and sales targets with brokers.
o Communicate Tawuniya’s underwriting appetites and capabilities to brokers.
o Review broker sales pipeline and evaluate performance against financial targets and desired customer segment mix o Develop policy proposals and share with brokers in a timely manner.
o Participate in joint sales with brokers in the region as needed to acquire new business.
o Promote effective cross-selling and up-selling culture and deliver technical support needed to brokers.
o Devise modifications and recommendations pertaining to broker contracts based on identified shortfalls.
o Develop technical trainings for brokers to share product-specific knowledge and enable the delivery of products to the customer.
o Devise improvement in sales process and sales through brokers for the respective region in order to maintain and/or grow market share.
o Develop improvements in the workflow with brokers, including business process and system enhancements.
ï‚· Policies, Procedures and Processes:
o Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance productivity, attain high quality outputs, and cost-effective results in line with relevant regulatory requirements.
o Conduct day-to-day activities ensuring compliance with stipulated policies, procedures and processes, and escalated identified non-compliance cases.
Internal Stakeholders: Channel Management, Sales Planning and Performance, Sales Excellence and Quality.
External Stakeholders: Brokers and Customers.
Education: A bachelor’s degree in business administration or
equivalent is required.
knowledge and experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance or sales field
