Overview A leading Premium Private Hospital in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Specialist in Maternal amp Fetal Medicine to join its expanding Women s Health and Obstetrics Department This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern tertiary maternity service providing comprehensive care for women with high-risk pregnancies using advanced fetal diagnostic technology and multidisciplinary maternal care pathways
The successful candidate will provide specialist Maternal amp Fetal Medicine services across both outpatient and inpatient settings working closely with Obstetricians Neonatologists Paediatric Surgeons Geneticists Radiologists Anaesthesiologists Neonatal Intensive Care specialists and Midwifery teams to deliver evidence-based maternal and fetal care The hospital offers advanced fetal imaging facilities comprehensive prenatal diagnostic services and multidisciplinary management for complex obstetric conditions while maintaining the highest standards of maternal and neonatal care

Clinical Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will Assess diagnose and manage high-risk pregnancies throughout the antenatal period
- Perform comprehensive fetal ultrasound examinations including First-trimester screening Nuchal translucency assessment Detailed anomaly scans Growth scans Doppler ultrasound studies Fetal wellbeing assessments
- Manage pregnancies complicated by Maternal hypertension Diabetes in pregnancy Multiple gestations Fetal growth restriction Preterm labour Placental abnormalities Maternal medical disorders Congenital fetal anomalies
- Provide prenatal counselling for complex fetal conditions
- Perform prenatal diagnostic procedures within credentialed scope including Amniocentesis Chorionic Villus Sampling CVS Other fetal diagnostic procedures where appropriately trained
- Participate in multidisciplinary fetal medicine meetings and treatment planning
- Develop comprehensive antenatal management plans and coordinate ongoing maternal care
- Provide patient education regarding pregnancy complications fetal health and delivery planning
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with DOH regulations and international best practice
- Participate in clinical governance departmental audit quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent)
- Recognised Specialist Qualification in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Recognised Subspecialty Training in Maternal & Fetal Medicine
- Experience managing high-risk pregnancies
- Experience in fetal ultrasound and prenatal diagnostics preferred
- Valid DOH Licence or DOH Eligibility Letter
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
- Fluent English essential
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Preference will be given to candidates with:
Existing DOH Licence or Eligibility - Fellowship training in Maternal & Fetal Medicine
- Experience with in tertiary maternity hospitals
- Expertise in fetal anomaly screening and prenatal counselling
- Previous UAE or GCC experience
- Strong multidisciplinary collaboration skills
- Immediate availability or short notice period
