Job Summary
The job holder shall work in various settings to guide employees in making decisions about their work performance and career progression. They shall be responsible for providing guidance, counsel, and support to employees and managers on employee relations, performance management, development plans, career pathways, disciplinary actions, policy violations, investigations, and other workplace concerns. The job holder shall oversee the learning and professional development of the MOPH workforce, equipping staff with knowledge, practical skills, and motivation to improve performance and carry out their activities effectively.
Additionally, they shall work to enhance the learning culture, motivation, and a productive work environment.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Participate in coaching and mentoring programs, ensuring proper profile matching, collaborating with coaches/mentors, initiating relationships, developing action plans, and monitoring the implementation to meet quality standards.
Develop positive relationships with employees, promote open communication, resolve conflicts by addressing negative behaviors, encouraging diverse viewpoints, identifying underlying issues, developing win-win solutions, and maintaining confidentiality.
Plan, organize, and manage activities to maximize efficiency and productivity; assist clients in overcoming personal barriers, setting objectives, prioritizing work, identifying resources, anticipating problems, and developing contingency plans.
Serve as a liaison and advisor, providing expertise on performance issues to staff and management, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and MOPH policies.
Participate in planning, monitoring, evaluation, and performance development activities, contributing to enhancing employees’ behavioral and technical competencies.
Support Qatarization development plans aligned with HR and MOPH strategies, and promote Nationalization initiatives across MOPH.
Contribute to employee engagement programs, including induction/orientation, recognition programs, leadership development, assessment, and succession planning, with recommendations for improvements.
Design, develop, and deliver professional training materials, including classroom sessions, job aids, webinars, videos, and eLearning modules to support MOPH strategies and initiatives.
Identify training needs, monitor employee progress, and evaluate development using proficiency assessment tools aligned with MOPH standards.
Provide coaching and counseling to employees on relations issues and advise management on employee-related problems, including disciplinary actions, gathering information, and recommending appropriate actions.
Maintain documentation of notes, reports, and evidence of actions taken.
Collaborate with HR teams on various projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist in the rollout and implementation of HR programs.
Perform other duties as required to meet organizational needs.
Essential Education
BSc/BA in social studies, business, or relevant fields; master’s degree in social studies, counseling, psychology, or related fields preferred.
Required Certification/Licensure
Completed coach-specific training aligned with international standards, demonstrating understanding of coaching, leadership, Code of Ethics, and Core Competencies. Must have achieved a designated number of coaching hours.
Essential Experience
Experience in developing, implementing, and delivering coaching sessions and formal training programs.
