JOB DESCRIPTION Key Responsibilities of the role

  • Participate, facilitate and support the Corporate Clinical Quality and Patient Safety Section within the Quality Department.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Develop and implement a healthcare system Clinical Quality and Patient Safety Strategic Plan that reflects SEHA priorities and includes frameworks to measure, monitor and improve outcomes.
    • Support system‑wide strategic plans, ensuring alignment with SEHA Corporate Quality Strategy.
    • Lead system‑level taskforces to drive implementation of quality improvement and patient safety initiatives across SEHA.
    • Support the Chair of the Corporate Quality Steering Committee in promoting a culture of continuous improvement and shared learning.
    • Contribute to the development, review and implementation of clinical guidelines, policies and procedures relevant to quality and safety.
    • Highlight clinical quality and safety issues and provide data‑based corrective action recommendations.
    • Facilitate identification, research and evaluation of emerging trends and innovative approaches, advising on implementation of new methodologies.
  • Performance, Compliance and Governance:
    • Develop and implement a standardized quality measurement framework, identifying risks and improving outcomes aligned with key partners and stakeholders.
    • Develop and align clinical quality and patient safety KPIs, internally (SEHA KPIs) and externally (DoH Muashir KPIs).
    • Collaborate with Service Line Councils and taskforces to address priorities through clinical guidelines, policies and procedures, and support implementation via decision‑support tools.
    • Monitor compliance with performance measures, benchmark against international standards, and identify improvement initiatives.
    • Facilitate HCFs in developing and implementing action plans for identified deficiencies.
    • Recommend and support educational initiatives, workshops and training on clinical quality and patient safety.
    • Collaborate with BI, IT and Health Informatics teams to enable electronic capture and reporting of standardized clinical performance measures.
  • Jawda Alignment:
    • Own, track and manage Jawda KPIs across SEHA HCFs, aligning with corporate quality objectives and regulatory standards.
    • Monitor KPI performance trends, identify gaps and engage stakeholders for timely intervention.
    • Participate in data validation to ensure accuracy, completeness and integrity of KPI submissions required by DoH.
    • Prepare, analyze and submit Jawda dashboards and reports, ensuring adherence to timelines.
    • Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to design and implement quality improvement initiatives linked to Jawda indicators.
    • Support benchmarking against internal and external standards to identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Tasneef (Performance Rating System):
    • Provide oversight of HCF readiness for Tasneef assessments, ensuring timely closure of gaps.
    • Conduct structured gap assessments to identify non‑compliance or performance shortfalls.
    • Oversee development, implementation and tracking of corrective action plans to improve overall scoring.
    • Engage facility‑level teams to build awareness and ownership of Tasneef requirements.
    • Track progress of initiatives and report status and outcomes to leadership.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Inspections:
    • Support planning, coordination and execution of DoH inspection readiness activities across SEHA HCFs.
    • Ensure continuous compliance with DoH regulations, monitoring implementation at corporate and facility levels.
    • Track and ensure timely closure of findings, recommendations and corrective actions from inspections and audits.
    • Maintain organized documentation and evidence repositories for audit readiness and regulatory reporting.
  • Reporting and Governance:
    • Contribute to development and maintenance of SEHA corporate quality reports, dashboards and scorecards.
    • Analyze quality and patient safety data to generate actionable insights for data‑driven decision‑making.
    • Strengthen performance monitoring frameworks through enhanced visualization, accuracy and transparency.
