Specialist, Accreditation and Healthcare Professional Education Jobs in Doha, Qatar at Ministry of Public Health – Qatar
Job Summary
The job holder shall be responsible for sustaining the accreditation processes according to the national accreditation requirements, participating in the auditing process and in education and training of relevant stakeholders throughout the country as well as ensuring that all tasks associated with the functions of the accreditation and healthcare professional education section are completed in a timely and quality manner.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Contribute to developing, reviewing, and implementing accreditation and healthcare professional education standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Support the accreditation processes, according to the national accreditation requirements. This includes a responsibility to:
Check the eligibility of accreditation applicants.
Review the application for accreditation, including all submitted documentation.
Conduct on-site visits/reviews for applicants (if applicable).
Develop a review report and submit it for decision making.
Communicate the accreditation decision to the applicant.
Participate in the auditing process, within the requirements of the relevant laws and regulations.
Participate in education and training of relevant stakeholders (e.g., the accreditation reviewers/surveyors).
Perform other technical and administrative tasks associated with the functions of the accreditation and healthcare professional education section and ensure its completion in a timely and quality manner.
Identify and network with a wide range of external stakeholders, including academic institutions and healthcare providers, to help achieve the goals and objectives of the section.
Provide technical and logistical support to relevant stakeholders (e.g., CPD providers and healthcare practitioners) to help them comply with the national accreditation and healthcare professional education requirements.
Participate in the collection, analysis, and reporting of data/information relevant to the functions of the accreditation and healthcare professional education section.
Assist in planning and implementation of international collaboration and mutual recognition initiatives.
Participate in research projects and scholarly work that foster and inform section activities and functions.
Perform other duties as requested to meet the ongoing organizational needs.
Essential Education
Bachelor’s degree in medicine or other healthcare professions (Dentistry / Nursing / Pharmacy / Allied Health);
Having a post-graduate degree (in medicine or other healthcare professions / healthcare professional education / healthcare management / healthcare quality management / other relevant disciplines) is preferred.

None
Essential Experience
Bachelor’s degree in medicine with 3 years of experience;
Fresh graduate Qatari, long-term residents, and graduates from University in Qatar can be considered. For other healthcare professions, minimum 6 years total experience with a bachelor’s degree.
OR 4 years total experience in case of a diploma in healthcare setting after bachelor’s degree.
OR 2 years total experience in case of a post-graduate (Master’s) degree in healthcare setting.
* Diploma/ Masters (preferably in academic field, healthcare, training or education, quality management, and accreditation). Experience in developing and implementing standards, policies, protocols, and procedures.
