Special Education Teacher Jobs in Abu Dhabi at Future Centre for Special Needs

The SEN Teacher is responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating individualized educational programs for students with special educational needs. The role ensures high-quality service delivery, measurable student outcomes, safeguarding compliance, and adherence to DCD regulatory standards.

1. Individualized Education Planning

  • Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Ensure IEP goals are SMART, measurable, and evidence-based.
  • Maintain updated and compliant student records.
  • Conduct scheduled IEP review meetings with parents and multidisciplinary teams.

2. Teaching & Learning

  • Deliver structured, differentiated lessons.
  • Apply evidence-based instructional strategies.
  • Adapt curriculum to meet individual student needs.
  • Track and document student progress using data-driven systems.

3. Student Wellbeing & Safeguarding

  • Ensure student safety, dignity, and confidentiality.
  • Implement positive behavior support strategies.
  • Report safeguarding concerns in accordance with centre policy.
  • Promote independence and life skills development.

4. Collaboration & Communication

  • Work collaboratively with therapists and support staff.
  • Attend case conferences and contribute to intervention planning.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents regarding progress.

5. Compliance & Professional Conduct

  • Adhere to DCD standards and centre policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ethical practice.
  • Participate in professional development activities.
  • Support inclusion, diversity, and equitable practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, Childhood Education (master’s is an advantage)
  • Certificate of equivalency from the MOE UAE of the degree is a must
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a special education setting.
  • Knowledge of IEP development and behavior planning.
  • Familiarity with DCD inspection standards.
