Job Summary:
A Butcher is responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing various types of meat products according to customer specifications and industry standards. This role requires a thorough understanding of meat cutting techniques, safety and sanitation standards, and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Cut, trim, debone, and grind meats.
Prepare meat for display and sale.
Assist customers with meat selection and provide cooking advice.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
Receive, inspect, and store meat deliveries.
Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous butcher or meat processing experience preferred.
Strong knife skills and knowledge of meat cuts.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Good customer service and communication skills.
