We are looking for an experienced and talented Sous Chef (Arabic Speaking) to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate should have 4–6 years of UAE experience in Arabic cuisine and a strong understanding of traditional and modern Arabic cooking techniques. The Sous Chef will support the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, maintaining food quality standards, supervising the culinary team, and ensuring smooth daily kitchen activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in planning, preparing, and executing high-quality Arabic cuisine dishes.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service.
- Prepare authentic Arabic dishes while maintaining consistency, taste, and presentation standards.
- Monitor food preparation, portion control, and quality standards according to hotel/restaurant guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including mise en place, stock control, and inventory management.
- Train and guide junior chefs and kitchen team members on Arabic cooking techniques and standards.
- Assist in menu development and suggest improvements based on guest preferences and trends.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of food items to minimize wastage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef specializing in Arabic cuisine.
- 4–6 years of UAE experience in a hotel, restaurant, or high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of Arabic dishes, ingredients, and cooking methods.
- Arabic speaking is mandatory.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP certification is an advantage).
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Pay: AED6,000.00 – AED10,000.00 per month
