About the Job
The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
• Uphold the Jumeirah ethos and brand standards by delivering exceptional wine service, ensuring compliance with beverage protocols, health, safety, environmental regulations, and maintaining the highest levels of guest satisfaction.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of wines, wineries, wine regions, and food and wine pairings to provide tailored recommendations that enhance the overall dining experience.
• Manage and continuously develop the wine program by creating and updating wine menus, overseeing cellar operations, and ensuring a diverse, premium-quality wine selection.
• Supervise wine service operations, collaborate with winemakers and suppliers, negotiate contracts, and curate wine lists that align with business objectives and luxury hospitality standards.
• Engage with guests across all F&B outlets, assisting with wine selections, promoting wine culture, and hosting wine tastings, champagne dinners, and special events to drive revenue and guest engagement.
• Deliver comprehensive wine training and coaching to colleagues, ensuring teams maintain strong product knowledge, service excellence, and confidence in recommending wines and pairings.
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
• College Degree in Hospitality or qualification from an accredited institution.
• 3–5 years of experience in wine service and beverage operations within the luxury hospitality industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural environments and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
