Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned Camunda Architect to steer the design and delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performance process automation using the Camunda BPM platform. The role combines deep technical leadership with the ability to translate complex business needs into robust architectural solutions, while communicating effectively with senior stakeholders. This is a senior-level engagement that demands strategic thinking, hands-on expertise, and a customer-centric mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end architecture for Camunda-based solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and architectural best practices.
- Analyze existing processes and design automated workflows leveraging Camunda 8 BPM capabilities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business and IT to define scope, requirements, and success metrics, and to guide delivery with technical insight.
- Define and implement the technical blueprint of Camunda-based applications, including integrations with external systems and services.
- Drive performance optimization, reliability, and operational monitoring of Camunda environments.
- Mentor developers and engineers on Camunda development standards and best practices.
- Contribute to pre-sales activities, including solution design, RFP/RFI responses, PoC demonstrations, and thought leadership via white papers or webinars.
- Create reusable accelerators and components to accelerate project delivery.
- Stay abreast of Camunda and related technologies, sharing knowledge across the technical community.
Requirements
- 10+ years delivering business process automation using Camunda BPM or comparable platforms.
- 4+ years in software architecture with Camunda.
- Proven experience designing complex Camunda processes, services, forms, and decision models (BPMN, DMN, CMMN).
- Camunda Certification (e.g., Camunda Certified Professional—to be verified by the hiring client).
- Strong experience applying DevOps practices (CI/CD, testing, monitoring, logging) to Camunda applications.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel for short-term client engagements.
- Desirable: familiarity with other BPM platforms (Pega, Appian), RPA (UiPath), and strong Java/Spring Boot/Microservices background.
