Job Title: Storekeeper

Location: Dubai UAE

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Storekeeper to manage our construction site materials and consumables. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate records of all materials and equipment. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

Receiving and Inspection:
Receive deliveries of materials and verify quantities against purchase orders and delivery notes.
Inspect materials for damage and report any discrepancies or defects.
Ensure proper documentation of all incoming materials.
Storage and Organization:
Organize and maintain the storage area in a clean, safe, and efficient manner.
Implement and maintain a proper storage system to ensure easy access and retrieval of materials.
Ensure proper storage conditions to prevent damage or deterioration of materials.
Implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory management practices.
Issuing and Tracking:
Issue materials to site personnel based on approved requisitions.
Maintain accurate records of all issued materials.
Track material usage and report any discrepancies.
Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile inventory records.
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or computerized systems.
Conduct regular stocktaking and report on stock levels.
Identify and report slow-moving or obsolete items.
Assist in the procurement process by providing information on stock levels and material requirements.
Safety and Security:
Ensure the storage area is secure and protected from theft or damage.
Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures related to material handling and storage.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Other Duties:
Assist with other site-related tasks as required.
Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement and site management.
Manage disposal of waste materials in accordance with environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in warehousing or inventory management are preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Storekeeper in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction materials and consumables.
Proficiency in using inventory management software or systems.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
Knowledge of safety regulations related to material handling and storage.
Valid driver’s license (preferred).
