Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced SOC Threat Specialist who is fluent in Arabic and English to strengthen our Security Operations Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for proactively identifying, investigating, and responding to advanced cyber threats across enterprise environments. This role combines threat hunting, cyber threat intelligence, incident investigation, and detection engineering to improve the organization’s overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform proactive threat hunting to identify hidden or emerging threats across enterprise environments.
  • Investigate complex security incidents and determine root cause, attack techniques, and business impact.
  • Analyze cyber threat intelligence and convert Indicators of Compromise (IOCs), Indicators of Attack (IOAs), and adversary Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) into actionable detection use cases.
  • Develop and enhance detection rules, SIEM use cases, and SOAR playbooks to improve threat detection capabilities.
  • Support incident response activities by providing technical analysis and threat context during investigations.
  • Conduct malware analysis and extract relevant indicators to strengthen detection and response capabilities.
  • Monitor emerging cyber threats, attack campaigns, and vulnerabilities relevant to the organization.
  • Utilize frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK to map attacker behavior and improve threat detection.
  • Produce technical reports detailing investigation findings, threat trends, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with SOC analysts, security engineers, and other cybersecurity teams to continuously improve security monitoring and response processes.
  • Maintain awareness of the latest cybersecurity tools, techniques, and industry best practices.
  • Ensure all activities comply with organizational security policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Professional cybersecurity certifications such as GCTI, GCIH, GCIA, GREM, GCFA, GCFE, CISSP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Fluency in both Arabic and English (spoken and written).

Experience

  • Minimum 8–12 years of cybersecurity experience.
  • Hands-on experience in Security Operations Center (SOC), Threat Hunting, Threat Intelligence, or Incident Response.
  • Experience investigating advanced cyber threats and analyzing attacker behavior.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise security monitoring and detection engineering.
  • Technical Skills

    • Strong knowledge of SIEM platforms (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, Elastic, ArcSight, etc.).
    • Experience with SOAR platforms and security automation.
    • Understanding of Windows, Linux, Active Directory, networking, cloud security, and endpoint security.
    • Knowledge of malware analysis, IOC development, and digital forensic techniques.
    • Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and open-source intelligence (OSINT).
    • Strong understanding of:
    • MITRE ATT&CK Framework
    • Cyber Kill Chain
    • Network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
    • Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR)
    • Log analysis and threat detection methodologies
    • Experience with threat hunting methodologies and hypothesis-driven investigations.
    • Knowledge of malware reverse engineering tools such as Ghidra, IDA Pro, x64dbg, or similar.
    • Experience in developing detection content and security use cases.
    • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
