Job Title:Warehouse Manager
JobPurpose:
To manage all warehousing activities including receipt of material, issuance to production, and receipt of finished goods from production and dispatch them to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure that the warehouse operates to GMP standards.
Coordinate with supply management to optimize the use of stock by using FIFO as the standard workflow as shown in the MRP system.
Ensure that global logistics, QMS & EHS standards are implemented using the concepts in place.
Update warehouse SOPs.
Communicate regularly the finished goods ready for dispatch to commercial as well as the distributors’ warehouses.
Promote asafe working environmentat the warehouse facility.
Attend daily planning meetings, production planning, quality council & EHS meetings.
Manage and develop warehouse staff to meet business objectives.
Accountability:
Ensure stock accuracy and FIFO standards are applied to avoid expiry of products.
Report & drive improvement of all material with low shelf life or expired finished goods and materials at the warehouse to finance, logistics & SD.
Ensure the stock is secured and access is well controlled.
Accountable for identified risks and escalate to the line manager; develop risk mitigation plans and monitor implementation.
Complexity:
Transactions carried out are critical to ensure accuracy of stock entries and matching with physical stock. Exposure to materials during transportation requires good control measures.
Experience Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or Engineering.
Experience and background in inventory control & warehousing.
Good knowledge of GMP and production processes.
Experience inmaterial handlingprocedures and chemical exposure.
Excellent English language skills.
Strong computer skills.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
Good knowledge of EHS.
