Job Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven Site Supervisor with a strong background in Joinery and Woodworking to oversee high-end interior installations. You will be responsible for managing on-site teams, coordinating with main contractors, and ensuring that all joinery elements—from wardrobes and doors to bespoke wall paneling—are installed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation Oversight: Lead and supervise a team of carpenters and helpers to ensure joinery items are installed accurately according to approved shop drawings.
- Site Coordination: Liaise with the Main Contractor and other trades (MEP, Flooring, Civil) to ensure the work area is ready and free of obstructions.
- Progress Reporting: Maintain daily site logs, track installation progress against the project schedule, and report any delays to the Project Manager.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct pre-installation checks on materials and final "snagging" inspections to ensure a "zero-defect" handover to the client.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to UAE/GCC health and safety regulations on-site, including the correct use of PPE and power tools.
Requirements
- Industry Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Site Supervisor specifically within the GCC Joinery/Fit-out industry.
- Technical Skill: Strong understanding of wood types, hardware (Hettich, Blum, etc.), and installation techniques for architectural joinery.
- Problem Solving: Ability to read shop drawings and solve "on-site" alignment or leveling issues quickly without compromising quality.
- Language: Ability to communicate effectively with both management and site labor
- Documentation: Proven ability to handle site measurements, delivery notes, and daily reports.
