Site/Plant Director
Position Title: Plant Director – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
Location: Lebanon
Department: Site Operations / Manufacturing
Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Direct Reports: Technical and Manufacturing Departments
Nationality Requirement: Open
Preferred Educational Background: Pharmacy Degree
Role Purpose
To lead and manage all site operations, ensuring alignment of manufacturing activities with business objectives. The role encompasses full responsibility for production, efficiency, resource optimization, and implementation of new lines and projects.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all plant operations including manufacturing, technical operations, and site support functions
Ensure achievement of production targets and fulfillment of customer orders
Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, and compliance
Lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams through effective leadership, communication, and conflict resolution
Build and develop strong production and technical teams
Align departmental objectives with strategic business goals
Lead implementation of new production lines and capital projects
Optimize resource utilization and production performance
Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards
Maintain strong collaboration with internal stakeholders, including ExCom and department managers
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (preferred) or equivalent scientific/engineering discipline
Over 10 years of experience in a managerial role within the pharmaceutical industry
Experience working in CDMO/CMO environments is highly desirable
Background in managing pharmaceutical operations across European and Middle Eastern markets
In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing, operations, and compliance
Proven experience in managing new projects and production line implementation
Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing and GMP compliance
Strong people management and team development skills
Strategic thinking and alignment of objectives
Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Fluency in English and French
